But Yahoo finance also deleted the symbol, so that a quote search for MACR results in a no such stock symbol message. Thus if an investor is unaware that Adobe is the new owner, they are completely in the dark as to what happened to Macromedia. Your competitor at MSN Money Central retains the symbol, and sends you to the page where there is news about Adobe and Macromedia. Why can’t Yahoo be kinder to investors?
